Frank Renfordt

 
The Cumberland River Project is a musical vision created by a man who is proof positive that you are never too old to follow your dreams. Now in his 60s, Frank Renfordt switched lanes, became a songwriter and in the meantime even a singer and producer. In 2020 he released his first solo self-titled album as the afore mentioned Cumberland River Project celebrating authentic American country music. 
Frank has come a long way from his German origins to embrace the American culture he so adores. His passion has always been music, but family life, and the demands of his profession meant that those ambitions were always left in the rear-view mirror until opportunity came knocking. Entering the American Songwriter Magazine competition and placing second for his lyrics, the reward lit a fire in his soul from which he has never turned back. The award gave him he confidence to focus on his dream and he began to expand and consolidate his songwriting skills. After releasing two albums which were grounded in the Nashville scene and getting widespread praise on all streaming platforms, he is now embarking on a journey where he owns the all aspects of song creation from start to finish.
